Vata season in the Northern hemisphere, in the Nordics is: October - February
Characteristics of Vata are: Dry, Clear, Light, Rough
Vata person is: tall, small and thin frame, thin lips, small eyes, dry skin/hair, has often uneven and light sleep, above average creativity, learns quickly and forgets quickly, has irregular appetite, is quick, humorous and talkative
Vata dosha out of balance has: lack of focus, difficulty in falling asleep, cold limbs of poor circulation, experiences worry, anxiety, nervousness, is hyperactive, indecisive, has thousand racing thoughts at the same time, experiences digestion issues and bloating
Some Vata related health issues are: anxiety, depression, panic, insomnia, constipation, arthritis, Parkinson’s
Vata is balanced by: All dosha types are balanced by proper food made of seasonally available regional ingredients free from chemicals, suitable lifestyle and the following of daily rhythms.
As Vata dominant you are a cold and dry dosha and should add to your diet sweet, sour and salty taste. Prefer warming foods both energetically and by temperature, as well as oily and more heavy foods that are mushy and soft in texture. Minimize cold and dry foods and raw foods (especially mornings and evenings).

Your dominating dosha type is: Pitta (Fire + Water elements)
Pitta season in the Northern hemisphere, in the Nordics is: June - September
Characteristics of Pitta are: Oily, Hot, Clear, Sharp
Pitta person is: with medium body structure, average hight, has strong leadership skills, straight forward opinions, goal oriented, hard-working achiever, with more trained body frame –gains and loses weight easily, has good appetite and digests well but gets irritated when skipping meals.
Pitta dosha out of balance is: irritable, angry, critical, impatient, jealous, has skin outbreaks and pigmentation problems, can have visible capillary networks, rosacea.
Some Pitta related health issues are: acne, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, haemorrhoids, bleeding tendencies, vision problems, baldness, early greying hair, migraines, acid reflux.
Pitta, the hot and oily dosha, is balanced by: All dosha types are balanced by proper food made of seasonally available regional ingredients free from chemicals, suitable lifestyle and the following of daily rhythms.
As Pitta dominant you should prefer sweet, bitter and astringent tastes in your diet. Cooling foods both energetically and temperature wise are balancing you. Avoid warming foods, deep fried foods, strong alcohol, nicotine, caffeine.

Kapha season in the Northern hemisphere, in the Nordics is: March - May
Characteristics of Kapha are: Heavy, Cold, Stable, Soft, Slimy
Kapha person is: with solid and heavy frame and bone structure, gains fat around hips and thighs easily, has thick eyebrows, big eyes, voluminous lips, thick strong hair, calm temperament, strong and constant appetite, has good long-term memory
Kapha dosha out of balance is: slow, lazy, gains weight easily, with slow digestion, prone to sinus and respiratory diseases, experiences strong feelings of sadness, very materialistic and possessive, overly sentimental and melancholic, tends to emotional over-eating
Some Kapha related health issues are: diabetes, hyperglycemia, colds, caughs, runny nose, hay fever, sinus infections, high cholesterol, fatty tumours, fungal infections, gall stones
Kapha is balanced by: All dosha types are balanced by proper food made of seasonally available regional ingredients free from chemicals, suitable lifestyle and the following of daily rhythms.
Pungent, bitter and astringent tastes in foods are balancing for cold and heavy Kapha dosha. Prefer light, dry and warm foods and avoid cold foods energetically and in temperature. Avoid over eating and drinking liquid during or directly after your meal and stay away from carbonated drinks.
